Being a member of the IOM team requires the highest standards of efficiency, competence and integrity. As an international organization with a global mandate, IOM also aims to maintain an equitable geographical balance among its staff. *** Fake vacancy announcements for positions with IOM Mozambique have recently been circulated in the name of the organization via non-IOM websites, emails imitating IOM email addresses and social networks, such as Facebook and WhatsApp. In some cases, correspondence falsely signed in the name of IOM officials has ensued. These false vacancy announcements and false correspondence may have contained requests to applicants to submit personal banking information and to transfer money.
These are fraudulent attempts to extract money from applicants.
IOM will only post job vacancy announcements through official IOM channels including IOM’s website. IOM would advise interested candidates to verify official vacancy announcements at https://www.iom.int/careers (this page).
